5 Things I’m Excited About on Friday, January 9th

1) I’m excited that I’ll be learning how to build a website tomorrow. From 2-6, I’ve been blessed to begin ‘Coding Camp’ with none other than the talented Kristen Zirkler, one of the imaginary minds who helped build Jobing.com. She also designed the graphics on our RV. We’re going to geek out and learn how to build brettfarmiloe.com over a four hour period. Calzones at The Side Door are the only form of payment.
2) I’m excited for changes on the horizon. I can feel it. Almost taste it. And it will probably happen next week. I don’t know what it is, or else I’d tell you. But I’m excited to find out.
3) I’m excited that I just handed in my article for Go Jobing magazine. The article is about how to recruit Gen Y by relating your company’s brand, but it’s really just me spouting my opinions and supporting it with examples. If it gets published, that would be something.
4) I’m excited that we did our first interview of the new year with a freelance radio journalist this week. Video to come shortly. Next week we’ll be interviewing the Director of Animal Control at the Phoenix Zoo. After that, who knows.
5) I’m excited that we were able to speak this week and influence a group of 120 unemployed Scottsdale residents, and that next week we’ll be speaking to over 700 students at Central High School in Phoenix.
Didn’t this week back to work feel long? What are you excited about on this Friday, the 9th?
